Launched in Feb 2005 is NJOI.
A 12.8m Elite Sportfisher designed by Bill Upfold.
She sleeps 6 in 2 separate cabins with toilet & shower to starboard of the owners' cabin. She is finished to a very high standard in teak and leather. Her raised dinette seats 8, opposite is a settee, aft of which there is a fridge and bar unit. An overhead cabinet contains LCD TV, DVD & Stereo. The large U shaped galley with stainless steel sink & formica top is opposite. A 4 burner glass fronted oven & hob is under a large opening window into the cockpit.
The cockpit is laid in teak and has a large freezer and LPG locker against the forward bulkhead. A spiral staircase is to starboard leading to the bridge, adjacent to which is a sink and rubbish bin cabinet. There is ample storage throughout the cockpit. A large central hatch covers the huge under floor stowage area.
Large hideaway doors complete the transom. Quarter rails are fitted to the large boarding platform.
On the bridge there is fully wrap around seating for 8-10, fully enclosed in a hardtop and clears. The aft helm seats 2 and contains all of the vessels' controls. A central glass panel replaces the clears in the centre of the windscreen to accommodate a 3 speed wiper with fresh water wash.
Navigation is courtesy of a Nobeltec computer giving all Radar, GPS, Plotter, Sounder and Autopilot functions.
NJOI is powered by twin 380hp QSB 5.9 Cummins Diesels giving her a top speed of 32 knots and easy cruise of 26. She carries 1000L of diesel and 600L of water. » Click here to view Boating NZ test of Njoi. (PDF, 882Kb)
